Racers wishing to participate in the MASS series overall individual competition and MASS team competition must register for the series and pay a series fee of $25 (free for juniors) for your primary racing class. Registration will be done on-line using bikereg.com. You will then be entered into the MASS Series database for individual and team scoring. Racers wishing to race in more than one class will be able to register for additional classes for an additional fee of $5.00 for each additional class - thsi additional class registration must be done at the same time you register for your pimary class. Additional classes must be within the same category (Beginner, Sport or Expert/Elite).
For example, if you are going to compete in the XC series competition and the endurance competition you will register for one of the classes and pay $25 and you will add the other class for $5.00.
Important - Series registration is only available through BikeReg and will not be available at the races. You must be registered for the series before a race for points from that race to count towards individual and team points. There will be no retro-active race credits. Please read the latest additional details and information on the series registration page on BikeReg.
You must indicate the MASS team you are racing for when registering for the series in order for your points to count towards your team points. Please look at the “List of Confirmed Riders” on bikereg and enter your team name the EXACTLY as it appears for others on your teams. Failure to do so could delay your team points being counted. You may only race for one MASS team during the season.
You must race in one of the classes you registered for the series in order to be scored. If you change classes at the race or register as a day-of racer you may not be scored for that race. The only way to change classes is to notify the MASS Director prior to the race.
The MASS will utilize chip timing at all XC races this year. Racers will be issued a permanent number plate with a chip attached to the back. You must race with your number plate and chip to be scored. If you lose chip and plate you will have to obtain a new one from the timing trailer for $5 - no exceptions. If you forget your plate at a race you must come to the timing trailer and infom the timers what number you are racing with to be scored properly.
One-Day Racers
The series fee is not mandatory nor is it a requirement. Racers do not have to register for the series to race at individual races. One-day racers will be eligible for the awards offered at each race. One day racers will not score any series individual or team points.
