THE MID-ATLANTIC REGION'S PREMIER MOUNTAIN BIKE RACE SERIES SINCE 2000

Series Classes and Cash Payouts

Upgrade Rule -

For 2011 we find it necessary to go back to an upgrade rule as follows:

Class winners must move up to the next level, this does not apply to 50/60+ classes, womens and juniors. These classes will be handled on a case-by-case basis.

Expert 19-39 classes - 5 top 5 finishes in the previous season must move up to Elite

Sport Classes - 5 top 5 finishes in the previous season must move up to Expert

Beginner - 5 top 3 finishes in the previous season must move up to sport

For 2011 the MASS race promoters have decided that we should consolidate some classes in order to foster better competition. Racers are more competative across larger age groups now and at some races our classes are too small. Larger classes provide better competition and make it harder for the same few racers to win every race. After we are a few races into the season we will institute call-ups of the top 5 or 10 in each class.

Racing age is defined as your age on December 31, 2011
